Sony Mavica floppy disk digital camera

Sony Mavica floppy disk digital camera Video Clips. Duration : 6.17 Mins.

Before flash memory and USB ports existed, digital cameras stored their images on an internal 3½-inch floppy disk drive. Yes, a floppy disk camera! This Sony MVC-FD7 camera was introduced in late 1997, and is designed much like Sony's camcorders of the time -- it even uses the same battery. With 10X optical zoom and autofocus, the quality of the optics is very good, but in order to fit about 20 photos on one 1.44 MB floppy disk, the image files are compressed to such an extent that they always turn out fuzzy and grainy -- but no worse than any other digital camera from the '90s.
